The Graphic Design Flock

With the stresses of being a graphic design graduate student, I wanted to do something special for my classmates to lift up their spirits. I wanted to represent us as a cohort going through the same struggles, but also supporting one another. I experimented with Arabic calligraphy and decorative scripts that start to look like images. I used different silhouettes of birds as a guide and fit each classmate’s name in Arabic calligraphy into the shape of a bird, turning the final outcome into a mobile.
